2. New Pieced Block-Of-The-Month!

Kickoff is Saturday, August 28th

9:30 am to 12:30 pm

I’m very excited about our newest Pieced Block-of-the-Month based on the Electric Quilt program.

Each month we will present 3 variations on a block, designed in EQ7 software. You can determine which of the three blocks you want to make, along with how you will make it: rotary cut and pieced, templates, paper pieced, 8”, 12”, 16”, it’s up to you.

At the kickoff, you can even get a feel for what set or layout you want which will help you decide what size blocks you want to make.

3. Garment Sewing Returns to The Quilt Scene

Have you heard the buzz? Lots of our customers have been talking about making clothes, altering clothes, learning how to follow patterns and fit garments. We’re listening. With this calendar, we are offering more opportunities for you to indulge your creativity in this direction.

To begin, we are starting at the beginning. If you haven’t been introduced to My Label - the wonderful pattern fit software from Bernina - we’d love for you to attend our all-day event on Saturday, August 7, 2010. We look forward to having all current My Label owners - and anyone interested in knowing more - for a morning of learning (or re-learning!) how to use the software; and an afternoon of creating ourselves in three dimensions. (If you wonder what this means, please join us.)

In the coming months, we will be following this up with classes to fine tune the fit of My Label garments, and we’ll have one Saturday morning each month which will be set aside as a supervised open sewing session for garment projects.

6. Return of the Frequent Buyer:

Many of you will be happy to know that with the introduction of our computerized Point-Of-Sale system, it is very easy to track your purchases. As a result, we are returning to our Frequent Buyer program. When you reach $250 in allowable purchases (no sewing machines, software, classes or already discounted items) you will receive a Gift Certificate of $20 to use on your next purchase. Only one coupon may be used per invoice and they will expire 1 year from the date of issue.
